Tantalus

Tantalus, the Great Grandfather of Agamemnon, was a child of Zeus. Tantalus angered the gods by serving them this dismembered body of his own son, Pelops. Needless to say, the gods were pissed. They "Tantalized" him with hunger and thirst, left him in a pool of water up to his neck that receded every time he tried to drink and hung fruit just out of reach above him. Apparently, Hawaiian residents were so impressed by Tantalus' story, they named a mountain after him. Feed your son to a god... you too can have a mountain named after you.

Below: The view from Tantalus of Diamond Head, our inactive volcano. To the Right of Diamond head, you can see all the Hotels in Waikiki. Its been nuts down there lately, with 8-10' Swells. They've been pulling surfing tourists out in boat loads. But not me. DAMN YOU BAR EXAM!!!! I was meant to be in one of those boats.

Below: is the View of Our Neighborhood. About two inches down, one inch over (from the Upper Left Corner) you can see the red McDonalds, a block from our place. Across the street (down) is the Green Starbucks, where we spend way too much time. Our sublet is about 8 buildings to the right of the Starbucks!
