Ma and Pa Durham Head to Hawai'i

And then it was time to celebrate my 25th Birthday. Holy moly!!! I'm as old as the hills. My dad, after perusing the morning paper, suggested dining on Mainland Chilled Pork Butt. The rest of us voted for a more conservative and traditional birthday cake.

Eat your heart out Jon Suh, I got a new guitar stand!!! (And a hula dancing homer to match...)

Then we headed off to the North Shore, making a short pit stop at the Dole Plantation on the way. We got lost for a few hours in the Dole Maze... fortunately there was plenty of pineapples to eat while we pondered if we'd ever go home.

We munched some grindage at "Sun Set Pizza", located at Sunset Beach, home of some of the biggest waves on earth. We also got covered in red paint. Freshly painted benches (who knew, clearly not the guy who ran the place.....)
