The Set-Up

Jon bought a Junior-Sized Tee Ball Bat for One Dollar at a Yard Sale. I had a Spalding High Bounce Ball.Sometimes, the contest chooses you.
The Rules are Simple, 20 Swings Right handed, 5 Swings Left Handed. Past the Statue is a Homerun (200 feet), measured from where the ball rests.
Jon's Embarrassing Batting Stance
Narrative by the Champion. Will

First, I'd like to apologize on behalf of Jon Suh that this Web site has become so biased. I seem to be an unstoppable competitive force and, as such, have the duty of writing all the web pages. Please forgive me and know that I've started on a diet heavy in bacon and a 16 hour sleep cycle to try and even things up.
The Statute (view from Home)
We set out for Golden Gate Park at 12:00p on a sweltering San Francisco Saturday Afternoon (temperatures soared into the low 70s!). I got the first 10. Jon was throwing curves and knucklers and I had a hard time getting into a rhythm. I knocked two out, one so deep to left it took Jon 5 minutes to find it.Jon batted second for his 20. He was arogant. He called this competition, sure of his own superiority. (I think his Ichiro worship has deluded him into thinking that he himself can play baseball.) Jon made a reasonable showing, with Four Homeruns. Most, however, were grounders that just made it to the 200 ft mark, but he did smoke one out to Center that came within a few feet of the statue. I returned to the plate and got 3 of my last ten, putting Jon in hot water for the bonus round. I had to go first, batting left

handed. I made strong contact on my first swing. Jon's hopes and dreams rode out of the park on the back of my red rubber ball. "Good Bye, Mr. Spalding" yelled a passerby. From there, the rest is history.

QUOTES:
Will: "Jon should take some time out of his busy nap schedule and go back into training!"

Jon: "It's hard to concentrate on these competitions when Will is constantly asking you to read this piece of fiction he wrote, titled "The Special Life of Will Durham and Hermione Granger."
