Will                   Jon
Ms. PacMan    141,860                31,480
Arkanoid           18,710                15,290
Centipede          16,582                22,167

Narrative by the Champion, Will

Ms. PacMan was the first event. On the first man, I raged to 44,050 points, ravaging ghosts. Jon made it to the second board. He already knew he was beat. What followed was a showcase of ghoulish talent. I went on a tear. I ate up ghosts like a stoner with a bag of twinkees. I went through "The Chase" and then "Act III, Junior." I solved the mystery of what comes after Junior. The Third Act replays and you get junior AGAIN!!! On Board 16, eating the power pills no longer had ANY effect. Final Tally: 17 Boards to 4 Boards, and a 110K point victory for Will.

Next came Arkanoid. This is Jon's game. He stepped up arrogant. Sure that he would shame me in a test of talents. Jon "The Wizard" Suh thought his time was at hand. He was wrong. Will shocked the crowd

of anarchist onlooker oohed and ahhed at Jon's narrow defeat.

We moved to Centipede. Jon's proverbial manhood was on the table. His pride was wounded. A complete route would be damning. I finished up with 16582 Points, finishing 8 Boards. Jon came through stong at the end, beating 7 Boards and scoring 22,167 points. A sigh of relief could be seen on Jon's face. But misery, nonetheless, filled his heart. For the second time in Ultimate Summer Contest history, Jonathan Suh wept.
Will Dominates PacMan, Scoring 141,860
On the way home, as I gloated, I pointed out that I now doubled the tally 8-4. Jon said, and this is ABSOLUTE truth, I quote:

"No, you see, 4 can be read as shi in Japanese, which is the same as death. So in Japan, they have no Fourth Floor on elevators. So we skip Four and I have Five. Thus, you would need Ten to double my score."

At that moment, I realized my victory was complete.
QUOTES:

WILL:
"If only it was 1987, people might think I was cool. Maybe. At least a little."

JON: "I had a childhood friend nicknamed NES Nerd.  That was more of a black mark against me than him."
