| Narrative: By the Champion, Will Durham It was Jon's turn to choose an event, and I was starting to feel the pressure of falling one event behind after two consecutive losses, including Jon's first ever chess related victory. I was battle weary. I was, in a word, pooped. Jon chose push-ups, sets of 10. I'm no push-up man. While my body is a finely chisled, highly tuned aerobic athletic machine, my forte is not anerobic works. Nonetheless, I did not lose heart. I pushed with all my might, hoping to snatch a surprise victory. On the 5th Set of ten, on push-up #5 I felt the twinge of defeat. My muscles were tiring. My body ached out for a break from this violent farce. Nonetheless, I pushed on and finished set five. I knew, though, that set #6 would see my defeat. Then Jon began set 5. He had switched up grips, trying to utilize other muscles that were less fatigued. Victory, alas, would not be his. He dropped the proverbial push-up ball and groaned in defeat. In a pure test of manhood, he came up a few yards short. Jon gave a valient effort and spared his body just enough to continue on, to fight another day. He garnished a look of defeat. But, like a modernr day Don Quixote, in a quest for Summer Contest victory, his eyes seemed to say, "I am still here." |

| QUOTES: Will: "A wounded duck flies in circles. A wounded man flies alone." Jon: "You can try and break this down, but any way you look at it the question remains the same. Who will Hermione end up with - Harry or Ron?" |
