| REFLECTION: By Jonathan Suh After multiple losses and snatching defeat from the jaws of victory a couple times, I finally beat Will at chess. And it's even sweeter because this time it really, really counted. After I got down a pawn and a bishop, I thought the game was over. But somehow I got Will to trade a rook for his queen and I was back in play. In chess, you can feel the balance of power swing as you go up or down a piece - even if it's a lowly pawn. It's a good exercise, and one that enjoy so much I can't really make any jokes about it. Though I have legally changed my name to Chessmaster 2003 Suh. Man, if you guys could only see Will right now. He's trying hard to hide how disappointed he is that he lost. I think he thought this would be a gimme for him, but he's gone to bed early with his tail between his legs. It might take him a while to put this crushing devastation behind him. My guess is that he won't return to DC because he needs to spend a couple years sitting underneath a waterfall and punching a wooden board. Kinda like what Steven Seagal did in 'Hard to Kill.' Do I feel bad for Will? Heck no. He owes me like 15 bucks. I gotta note that the reason why the Javad Skillz meter is so high is because I'm not as good at chess as Will, I had to come from behind to win, and I was faced with the pressure of losing in front of a worldwide audience. So I needed to pull out an extra dose of my Javad Skillz. |

| QUOTES: Jon: "Is it wrong to think that The Very Best of Cher CD might not be so bad? If so, someone better tell Cosentino. He likes to 'Believe' he's 'Strong Enough' to 'Turn Back Time' so he can sing a 'Song for the Lonely.' I can't believe I just spent 5 minutes on that." Will: "And Alexander wept for there were no more worlds to conquer." |
